Athens, Santorini, Mykonos,

My roommate Emily and I had the experience of a lifetime island hopping in Greece during our school break. We had 10 days to visit Athens, Santorini, and Mykonos.
First Stop Athens!
Emily and I loved Athens. We stayed in a super cute hotel called PAME House. The staff was super helpful and even offered us to stay in the suite room when we arrived. Sadly, we were only able to stay in Athens for one night because of flight troubles and delays. However, we still made the best of it.
Food Tour Time :)
The first thing we did in Athens was a food tour! We got to eat just like the Greeks. We ate so many types of Geek cuisine starting off with feta cheese pie! Now its definitely not what you would expect (its not pie) but it was still delicious.

The next traditional Greek dish we had was pita! The pita was so yummy, and you could have just about any fillings as you want, even french fries. My go to was always chicken, tzatziki sauce, fries, tomoatoes and feta...so delicious

The last stop on the food tour was a place where we had traditional Greek desert such as Baklava and lemon cake. Baklava is a layered pastry dessert made of filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with syrup or honey. It tasted delicious!
Bars and night life
After the food tour was complete Emily and I wanted to relax with a refreshing cocktail. We went to this super lively bar called Contrabando. They had the most extravagant drinks that were made to perfection .
The first drink I had (the one on the left) was called the zombie. It was rum blend, passion and pineapple Puree, homemade pink grapefruit cordial and cinnamon syrup. It tasted so refreshing. It was perfect to have after a day of walking.

Emily got a drink called Infused and confused (the drink on the right). This drink was made with strawberry infused tequila, Campari, homemade pink grapefruit cordial and fresh lime juice. Also tasted so good.

We ended up having two more drinks at this bar before we changed locations. They were called Dont miss the strawberries, and Lets talk tea. Very creatice and fun names!
Next Stop Santorini!

To get to Santorini we had to take a 5-hour ferry…It was not fun...but so worth it, Santorini is stunning. Santorini is basically only two colors, blue and white...which gives it it's aesthetically pleasing vibe. Emily and I spent 3 nights in Santorini at Hotel De sol. The hotel was beautiful, they offered a free breakfast buffet each morning and had a gorgeous steak house

The first day in Santorini we spent hanging out by the pool and realxing. Later in the day we went down to the spa and got massages and facials. The spa was so beautiful. Much needed after a 5 hour ferry.
Night One
The first night we went out to dinner at this restaurant called Kaliya. This was one of most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever seen.

The staircase leading up to the restaurant was covered in pink and green vines. It looked like the cover of a magazine
For dinner I wanted to try something I usually don’t get, so our waiter recommended I get the pork. It’s said to be the most popular dish at this restaurant. The people are right…It was delicious! It came with a fresh green salad and fried rice which tasted so incredible

Santorini is not short of night life. After dinner Emily and I hit the town and started bar hoping. There were so many fun bars and clubs to choose from. We had a great night of dancing and laughing. If you are ever in Santorini I recommend going to the bar called 2 brothers, or Stoa bar both great vibes for the younger crowd
Booze Cruise
The second day we were in Santorini we hopped on a catamaran sailboat for a beautiful tour around the island. The water was so clear and so green it was such a pretty view. We got to see the red sand beaches and even got to swim in an all natural hot springs!

We also got to snorkel and see some pretty epic looking fish. Nothing like i've seen back home. After snorkeling and swimming in the beautiful water, the chef on board prepared us a fantastic lunch.

There was shrimp, chicken, creek salad, pasta, and sausages. Very tasty after a long day of swimming!
The cruise was my favorite activity I did while in Santorini. If you ever find yourself planning a trip to this beautiful island, I recommend doing a boat tour. It's such a great experience and a great way to really see the island
Last Dinner in Santorini

We ended the day a beautiful restaurant in the hotel next door called 1888 Meze Bar. We sat outside but had our own personal heater and blankets. The staff at this restaurant were super sweet and even gave us a complimentary glass of champagne. I ended up getting veggie risotto and it was a 10/10. What a great way to end our trip to Santorini
Last Stop Mykonos!
Finally we made it to our final destination...Mykonos. Mykonos was the most expensive island by far. Every bar/ restaurant expect to pay $20 for a drink. However, even though it’s a pricey island its still so incredible and fun. We stayed in Mykonos Beach Hotel, and it was perfect because it was only a 5-minute walk from down town where the shops and restaurants are.

Shopping is just one of the activities to do while on this island. There were little shops and boutiques all over the island. Most are very expensive but if you look hard enough theres some hidden gem boutiques that are actually affordable.
As a college student its very important to budget and save your money while traveling. However, of course I had to invest in some shopping. I ended up buying a dress from a beautiful boutique on the water.
The Best Restaurant
My absolute favorite thing about Mykonos was this one restaurant called D’Angelo Restaurant. My roommate and I pretty much had every single meal here and the prices were actually reasonable

The first night I had a pasta dish with a light lemon sauce and mushrooms. It was probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. I also got a glass of rose to drink with my pasta which was also fantastic.
Emily and I legit formed a connection with the staff because they were so incredibly kind and amazing at their job. If you even get the chance to go to Mykonos, please stop by this restaurant you wont regret it.

We spent most of our days drinking and shopping, and at night we would go by the lighthouses and watch the sunset. It was a beautiful way to end our night here.

Overall, I had the best time traveling around Greece. I highly recommend planning a trip out there its beautiful. The food Is amazing, the night life is lively and the shopping is unreal.
